help with a mixed tape?

ok so my best friend wanted a mixed tape from me for his birthday, we have had a past together, obviously, and i want some really good songs to put on here. somethiing about basically missing each other and of me moving away and us becoming closer through distance, that kind of thing ...hes my best friend in the whole world and i love him ta death so i need something deep to a point or just sill and about how great of friends we are....

we both listen to things like Jack's mannequin , we love FOTC, Relient K, snow patrol,lifehouse, dashboard.... those kind of things but i am a big fan of country and he likes crap like white stripes and STP, so is there any ideas that you have? please help, im already a week late with his present, lol
