HOA Harassing me about working on my truck in my garage?
While my parents were at work I had my truck up on jack stands putting in a new heavy duty transmission I ordered. Well the HOA guy came over and started harassing me saying I can't do that. I told him I live in the USA which is free country, and he can kiss my white *** if he wanted to. He stormed off and and said I will be hearing from him later. What right does he have to say what I can do in my own garage.
He has the right to severely fine you parents and foreclose on the home if they do not pay, that is what right he has.
You live in a HOA area, willingly under contract. YOU do not have any rights to violate the rules at all, and can expect to be fined several hundred for your lack of judgment.
In many cities it is not even legal for you to be working on your car, were you prepared for any toxic spills? I doubt it.
He won't kiss your white a--, he is going to send your parents a high enough fine that they will be all over your a---.
