What is the approximate cost to build a new fireplace?
We are renovating a house with an oven existing wood and oil furnace. Apparently, the two can not use the same chimney. We are considering adding a second fireplace outside our house with two floors. We are not handy enough to do ourselves.
last I put in place was about 32 feet high and burning 8x12 with vermiculite insulation and it came about $ 100.00 per ft. .. it was for a chimney brick ... had to put a thimble and a new cleanout door ...
