Red Neon

What is the circular (the light is red as a point) above the fuel level on a Dodge Neon 2000 show?
I owned a 2000 Dodge Neon for seatrout years now, and for the first time recently, I noticed a small circular red light about an ince over my fuel gauge. It is undistinctive and weaker than all the light of regular service. It remained on the original as it came. Is Does anyone know what that light indicates? Thank you
