Why do children have a key ring hanging from the back of their Honda car?
Whenever I drive, I see people with key ring on the bottom their Honda. As the main chain that snaps onto the backpacks and everything. Why do people do this? Do they think it looks cool?
They are probably shocked when they enter or leave their car and someone told them to hang a string to the mass of the car. When Dragging on a seat of some of your clothes rubbing against the padding generates static electricity. Then you touch the metal of the car it discharges a shock. It is easy to avoid by making a habit of touching a metal surface and holding as you exit the car. If you touch the metal of the static does not build. The chain does not really help.
