can child support be taken from motor vehicle accident settlement in the state of louisiana?
my boyfriend was in a car accident & his lawsuit just settled. His child's mother is trying to get a portion of that money. is that legal? the child was not involved in the accident. he does not have visitation & child support is currently being garnered from his wages.i'm not sure if he owes back payments.
I don't believe so but i would tell him to talk to his lawyer
