How would underground sunoco gasoline pipeline through your home front yard affect you?
I am buying a new construction home. There is a sunoco gas pipeline of some sort passing through the front yard underground. My question is : is it safe? are there any underground chances of explosion or fire of some sort? My thinking is if there would have been any risk then city would not have given permission to built the home. Any help would be appreciated.
Also is there any chance of chemical poisoning if the pipeline bursts?
Gas lines are under ground all over. People cooked and heated their homes with gas years ago more than they do now. If a gas leak forms you will know because something has been added to the gas to make it smell like rotten eggs.
