When getting an oil change, are synthetic motor oils worth the extra cost?
Depends on how long you plan to keep your vehicle. If you run a long time it should pay off by reducing engine wear especially if you live in extreme temperature areas, ie very cold and or very hot. Any oil Will become contaminated with byproducts of combustion, so a oil change every 3,000 miles is best. Like the old saying goes,"pay now or pay later" your choice.
