Spout Cap

I have a question about first time for sippy cups. How much to allow to drink?
My daughter is 6mos and we just introduced her to sippy cups. We allowed her to have little swallows of my Arrowhead water bottle with the snap cap/spout thing. She loves it. So we got her a few cups to see which she'd like and she'd interested and having fun. We use cool water. We haven't let her just sit and feed or drink from it for any amount of time. How much do we allow her to drink from it when we do let her have it??
My sons been weened from the bottle to the sippy since 6 months so as much as that baby wants. My son took about 6-8 ounces of milk or juice in a sippy cup.
