What are the sign that u have put bad gas in your vehicle? If your transimission goes will your car run hot?
My oil light is coming on and the oil is full. The car is running hot but the coolant is full. And it is not changing gears. It is an automatic 3.0L engine and it started doing this after i went to gas station not before.
Bad gas will make a car hard to start, run erratic, pop, surge, and just plain not run at times. From the way you describe your symptoms, it sounds like the computer cannot adjust to signals received from the sensors. The computer controls the transmission changing gears, and if the computer thinks the engine is hot it will go into "limp mode" and will not work the transmission. On the other hand a hot engine will burn the transmission out if you keep driving it. Get the car to someone who is qualified in vehicle computers. They can pull the information from the computer needed to get you back on the road. It may take a thorough cleaning of the fuel system, and clearing of the codes to get the car back to working order.
