Making something low conductive?

I'm doing a project and i need to use metal but i also need to have a coating/something to overlay it which is strong, somewhat heat resistant, and is not conductive of electricity. Does anyone know of anything like that?

We need to know MUCH more before we can even begin to answer that...

As the first answer said: How MUCH heat? How resistive? How strong?

If REALLY high temp is not necessary (I think 150 degrees C) you can use something as simple as tool dip. Tough, abrasion resistant, non-conductive, cheap, easy to apply.

Plasti-Dip is probably the best thing going out there, and I have used it with great results.
