Oval Lead

Republicans lead democrats by 10% in generic congressional polls. Has this ever happened before in history?

In 1980 and again in 1994, after conplete morons had been in the oval office 2 years or more, America reacted to the extreme liberal agendas by butchering them in elections. Correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't this generic ballot even more in favor for republicans than those other two years?
(Normally a lead of only 5% is enough to indicate an anti-incumbant attitude.)

Send them back to the drawing board, to put together health care reform we can ALL support.
