Nascar Team

How does a Nascar Team or any other racing team get the number for their car?

They are leased by teams from NASCAR. Many numbers are being leased, but not used. A team can also "borrow" a number from another owner.

Those are all the ones that I know off the top of my head. Some may actually be loans, I am not 100% on all of them.

Most times a part-time team will have a "1" in front of the number. For example, entry lists and race results will list Boris Said as 160, not 60.
